Abstract

WiMAX signal can provide high range resolution and large detection area

which makes WiMAX signal attractive for passive radar applications.A 2-channel WiMAX based passive radar receiver was designed. The least square based self-adaptive direct path/clutter disturbance cancellation algorithm

as well as the moving target detection algorithm

were proposed. And the fixed WiMAX based passive radar system was applied to indoor moving target detection. The experimental results show that the designed system and the proposed algorithms can track the target moving speed and location information exactly. This result demonstrates the feasibility of using fixed WiMAX signal as passive radar illumination source from experimental aspect.
