Abstract

In wireless sensor networks

routing protocol is the key technique

and plays an important role in prolonging network lifetime and reducing energy consumption. The improved clustered routing protocol based on LAC is proposed. In this protocol

the cluster head selection algorithm in LAC is improved for wireless sensor networks in terms of energy and connectedness.Meanwhile

the different clusters are generated in the same area by the node distribution. It may make the cluster heads load balancing to improve the network lifetime.Simulation results show that the protocol can improve the network lifetime.
