Electrical capacitance tomography（ECT） is one of process tomography techniques which developed rapidly in recent years.The reconstruction algorithm for ECT is the key to its application in industries.Due to the so-called ’soft-field’ effect

the reconstruction algorithm often produces distorted images.An image reconstruction method for ECT based on fuzzy thresholding algorithm is presented.Landweber algorithm is used for image reconstruction.And the fuzzy thresholding algorithm is introduced to determine the best threshold value for the reconstructed image.The simulation experiments are carried out to evaluate the new method.The results show that the new method can produce high quality images.And it shows a good potential for applying.
