Abstract

As a result of combination of sensor

micro-electro-mechanism system and wireless networking

wireless sensor networks（WSNs） is a novel technology about acquiring and processing information. Both academia and industries are very interested in it.The architecture

characteristics and application of WSNs are introduced.Protocols of every layer in protocol stack and hotspot common technology of WSNs are summarized and expatiated. Finally

current issues are also discussed

and the coming work is proposed.
