Nodes of wireless sensor networks( WSNs) which are deployed in hostile environment may be captured
analyzed and replicated. Then those malicious nodes are inserted back into the network to attack network. Aiming at above problem
a new detection scheme which combines distributed detection with centralized detection for WSNs against node replication attacks is proposed. The scheme detects node replication attacks with both cluster heads and base station in clustering sensor networks. The simulation results show that the scheme overcomes shortcomings of adopting distributed detection or centralized detection alone
and its detection rate and communication cost are superior to the distributed methods
and its network lifetime is superior to that of the centralized methods.
