a facile and mild synthetic approach involving CuCl2·H2O as raw material
sodium ascorbic as reductant and PEG—20000 as surfactant
nanocube with nanocrystalline structure is prepared using chemical mixing method. The effect of pH values on Cu2O nanostructure is studied
and the crystal phase and morphology are determined by using X-ray diffraction( XRD) and scanning electron microscope( SEM).Furthermore
the gas sensitive properties of the sensor based on Cu2O nanocrystalline are tested. It can be seen that Cu2O nanocrystalline show remarkable sensitivity and good selectivity to C2H5OH. The best gas-sensitive property is obtained when the sintering temperature is about 600 ℃ and heat-treated for 2 h
its sensitivity to volume fraction 0. 006 % C2H5OH is up to 38 %
at the optimal working temperature( 360 ℃)
exceed the limit of detection of ethanol gas( 0. 008 %) in human breath.
