A chip for blood coagulation detection is designed based on the principle of magnetoelastic transducer. The chip is composed of Fe-based amorphous alloys and an inverted T-shaped plastic bottom film. The dynamic tracking of the blood clotting process and the determination of prothrombin time are achieved by using the influence of liquid viscosity changing on resonance characteristics of Fe-based amorphous alloy. Experimental results show that amplitude response of the detection chip has high degree of correlation with blood coagulation process. The mean value of prothrombin time in three tests is 13. 7 s determined by the maximum point of the slope of the amplitude
the measurement result of the artificial tube method is 13. 1 s
which indicates that this method has high accuracy. In addition
this kind of chip is easy to fabricate
low cost
small in size
and a very small quantity of blood is required for detected.
