To accomplish the detection of corrosion defects on the engine cylinder body
the detection system is improved after analyzing features of phased array and the engine cylinder.Automatic detection of ultrasonic echoes and correction of the sound distance are designed to meet the requirements of corrosion defects detecting. The experiments prove that the corrosion defects on the engine cylinder body can be positioned accurately.Compared the actual values with theoretical datas
it shows that errors of defects’ depths and sizes are within 2%.
