A new detector is researched which can measure fluid silt layer’s density and the corresponding location as well as and the bottom of silt simultaneously.This detector employs photoelectric sensors

and adopts upper computer PC controlling lower computer so as to improve dredging accuracy.Each sensor is calibrated after the experiments

results of measurements are shown on software interface of upper computer and be saved on it at the same time.Coefficient can be modified on the software interface to calibrate the sensor.The practical application proves that the detector performance is stable
