The detection of steering angular position range is ±720°
is one of the key part of solution to torque coordinating control of in-wheel motor driven electric vehicle(EV).A novel sensor structure based on dsPIC30F6010A communicating with two TLE5012 is adopted.A±720°absolute angular position contactless sensor based on iGMR is designed
and zero point can be set through external interruption. The implementations of the sensor is given
including the design of two gears
calculation method of absolute angular position
and some debugging problems are also discussed in detail. The error analysis of experimental results is presented. The result proofs that this sensor can meet the demands of ±720°absolute angular position detection
laying the foundation for torque coordinating control of in-wheel motor driven EV.
