The measuring principle of three-axis electronic compass is introduced.A tilt-compensated three-axis electronic compass has been developed based on anisotropic magneto-resistive sensor and accelerometer. The hardware design and software flow chart are discussed.Aimed at the features of sensors’errors
a twelve-attitude calibration method has been used for the calibration of compass.According to experiment results of different tilt angle of circumference test
the trajectories are essentially coincident with circle after error calibration and tilt-compensated
which effectively reduces the error. This calibration method is also effective for the compensation of magnetic deviation
