The sensor technology based on ion current for measuring speed of detonation wave is developed and a new type probe is designed.The results provide practical technique supports of detonation wave measurement for pulse detonation engine（PDE）

which works in high temperature and strong impact environment.The researches provide reliable testing signals for the performance analysis.Through the single and multicycle detonation experiments

the results show that the probe is reliable

low cost and suitable for high temperature

strong impact.The measurement and calculation result of the speed of the wave detonation is consistent with that of pressure sensors.The ion probe can measure the speed of detonation wave in PDE.
