The carbon black(CB)/poly(vinyl alcoho1)(PVA)nanofibers are fabricated by electrospinning and characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results show that the fiber morphology is dependent on CB content. With an increase of CB content
the shape of the fiber become more regular
the CB nanoparticles in the PVA fiber is more evenly distributed. The optimal ratio of CB to PVA is 3∶10.With the increase of CB content further
the CB nanoparticles are agglomerated. The response of the nanofiber sensor to ethanol vapor is tested. The nanofiber with the CB/PVA mass ratio of 3∶10 shows excellent properties of high sensitivity and fast response and recovery.
