but affects the quality of dyeing also.An on-line nep detection system which is used in carding machine based on machine vision is presented.The design of the system

which includes the lamp-house part

the high speed image collecting part

the real-time image processing part are discussed.The feasibility of the system is validated by experiments.The encourage results indicate that the system has many functions

such as high speed data collecting

nep feature recognition on broad surface

on-line and real-time processing

displaying.Experimental results verify the speed

reliability and accuracy of the proposed system.
