A novel weak signal detection method based on the higher-order Duffing oscillator under strong noise background is proposed. The fundamental principle of weak signal detection is described according to the transition of phase diagram and anti-noise performance of system is also studied. On the basis of this principle
a two-coupled higher-order Duffing oscillator system which can identify signals with any unknown frequency and has a better antinoise performance is proposed.Simulation experiments ultimately confirm that the weak signal in the strong noise background can be better detected by the method and the noise is better suppressed. The application of the oscillator in weak signal detection is feasible.
