Portable electrical impedance tomography system and the wearable multi-electrode array hand ring sensor are developed
electrical impedance tomography technology is used to realize gesture recognition. The main function of the electrical impedance tomography( EIT) system is to realize signal transmission and data processing. The wearable multi-electrode array sensor is worn on the subject’s arm to infuse the current and collect the voltage. The voltage data of ten subjects with different gestures are measured for gesture recognition. A generalized vector pattern matching( GVSPM) algorithm is used to reconstruct the images of electrical conductivity distribution of the arms’ cross-section. Experimental results show that the developed electrical impedance tomography system can realize gesture recognition.
