An all-solid-state high-temperature hydrogen sensor is prepared by high-temperature proton conductor of indium-doped calcium zirconate as solid electrolyte and zirconium hydride as reference. The effect of hydrogen volume fraction and temperature on the electromotive force of the sensor is studied. A batch of solid electrolyte tubes of uniform size
compactness
and no molding defects are formed and sintered. In the sinsor operating temperature range of 600 ~ 800 ℃
a good electromotive force response behavior is recorded for the hydrogen volume fraction of 0. 005 ~ 0. 1. There is a linear relationship between the stable electromotive force and the logarithm of volume fraction of hydrogen. The higher the temperature
the higher the sensitivity of the sensor for hydrogen measurement. Based on the existing test data
an hydrogen measurement empirical model for the sensor is established
taking temperature and electromotive force as variables.
