A WSNs hierarchical routing protocol with energy consumption balance( HRPWEB) is proposed aiming at the problem exists in data transmission. The network is divided into clusters with different scales according to the shortest hops of nodes and Sink nodes. The energy consumed by data forwarding is offset by different cluster sizes to realize the energy consumption balance of whole network. The cluster is built by the principle of virtual force. Multi-hop transmission method is proposed to achieve energy consumption balance between the cluster heads. The experimental results show that the proposed routing protocol reduces the residual energy variance of the sensor network node by 55. 5 % compared with the LEACH protocol
which greatly prolongs the lifetime of the sensor network.
