point-to-point( P2P) communication and mobility are fundamental requirements. For such applications
routing protocols must support mobility and discover optimum P2P routes along with the energy-efficiency. Therefore
mobility aware energy efficient routing( MAEER) is proposed. Mobility flag is added into the control message
so that these flags make nodes aware about their neighbors’ mobility status. Then MAEER choose static nodes as the parent for temporary( destination oriented directed acyclic graph
DODAG) formation in order to improve the stability. Compared with P2P-RPL
Simulation results indicate that MAEER protocol provides 24 % less energy consumption and 15 % better packet delivery ratio.
