Illumination environment is relatively dark

red and uneven

will affect visual effect of color image. A new method is presented on the basis of comparing several existing processing methods. Firstly

the method reduces red component of the partial red part of the RGB color image

then convert the corlor model from RGB to HSV

so as to deal with luminance component

histogram equalization and Retinex algorithm processing

and at last

convert back to RGB color space and carry out Garmma correction. Experiment shows the method can not only reduce influence of the red light source on quality of image

but also can increase brightness of image

simultaneously

reserve details of image.
