Localization technology of wiress sensor networks（ WSNs） is deeply discussed and analyzed in some aspects such as classification of WSNs localization algorithms

analysis results show that different algorithms adapt to a single application environment

appropriate algorithm should be selected combined with actual needs. Several new-style localization methods including mobile beacons node localization algorithm

three dimensional space localization algorithm and intelligent localization optimization algorithms are analyzed. Problems exist in WSNs localization research is summarized and improved research direction in the future is given.
