Turbine oils have been widely used in control system of turbines in thermal power plant
its lubricity and electrical performance will decay with increase of service time. Aiming at problem of lack of simple and effective way for real time monitoring on aging status of turbine oils
propose using nuclear magnetic resonance( NMR) technology for detection and design a mini NMR sensor. The dimensions are 30 mm × 30 mm × 36 mm and the weight is 107 g
the sensor can be immersed in turbine oil for detection. Turbine oils with different service time from two power plants are measured
and results demonstrate that increase of service time clearly results in decrease of T1 and T2eff. Production cost is low
operation is easy and size is small
and makes it possible for real time monitoring of degradation state of turbine oils.
