For mine safety and technological innovation strategy requires
a greedy idea directional hybrid routing( GIDR) protocol in three-dimensional space is proposed to improve practical effectiveness of wireless sensor networks( WSNs) coal mine safety monitoring system. Through analyzing characteristics of coal mine special space
triangular prism is chosen to fill the three-dimensional space according to spatial tessellation theory.Clusteing is carried out through sensing residual energy and broadcast factor
and mulitihop communication can be achieved in optimal path between cluster heads and base station by using greedy idea. The simulation results show that GIDR has better performance in energy consumption and energy balance
which is suitable for safety monitoring in underground special spacial envionment.
