A glucose sensor based on hollow micro-needle array is developed to pierce skin with slight pain and achieve continuous monitoring on human blood glucose concentration. The micro-needle array is constituted by three same spacing micro-needles
used as working electrode
auxiliary electrode and reference electrode of the biosensor
respectively
in which
working electrode and auxiliary electrode are both made of stainless hollow steel micro-needle with sputtered Ti / Pt films on the surface
use glutaraldehyde-BSA cross-linking method to fix glucose oxidase( GOD) only on the tip of the micro-needle of working electrode; reference electrode is made of Ag / Ag Cl solid micro-needle. The test results show that the output current of the sensor is linear
