To study the dynamic wetting mechanism of droplets under the electrowetting effect
the electrowetting dynamic motion process of a sodium chloride droplet on the surface of Parylene film is numerically simulated using COMSOL software
based on the 2D Navier-Stokes equation and combined with dynamic mesh technology
and the influence of different DC voltages on droplet morphology is analyzed. An experimental platform of electrowetting system is built and experimental testes are conducted. The results show that the maximum error between the diameter of droplet wetting obtained by numerical simulation and the experimental test results is less than 1.7%.With the increase of time
the droplet wetting diameter first increases and then decreases
accompanied by an oscillatory and attenuating trend. At the same time
with the increase of DC voltage
the droplet wetting diameter gradually increases.Specifically
when the DC voltage increases from 10V to 25V
the maximum peak value of droplet wetting diameter increases from 3.54mm to 4.02mm.By revealing the dynamic wetting mechanism of droplets in the electrowetting process
this study provides a theoretical basis for the precise regulation and engineering application of the electrowetting interface.
