Amorphous wires exhibit extensive application potential in weak magnetic sensing field due to their advantages of low hysteresis loss
high sensitivity
and low magnetic anisotropy. The traditional CoFeSiB amorphous wire material is optimized by adding trace Nb element
aiming to enhance its magnetic properties and stability.A novel miniaturized giant magnetoimpedance(GMI)magnetic sensor is designed and fabricated using Nb-doped Co-based amorphous wires. The sensor employs the optimized amorphous wire as the magneto-sensitive core material
with an induction coil wound around it via a fully automated process. The dimensions of fabricated sensor are of 20mm×1.2mm×0.5mm.The performance tests conducted using a magnetic field calibration system show that within a range of 0 to 75000nT
the sensor achieves a sensitivity of up to 7.82V/Oe and a linearity better than 99.46%.These results confirm that the Nb doping process effectively enhances the material properties of the amorphous wire
thereby significantly optimizing the comprehensive performance of the fabricated sensor.Furthermore
tests on the output signals of multiple samples demonstrate high consistency among the devices.
