A passive audio acquisition tag chip based on ultrahighfrequency radio frequency identification (UHF RFID) technology is designed by adopting 180nm complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS) process. The tag operates by harvesting radio frequency energy without external power supply
and uses a low-power circuit architecture to minimize system power consumption. The backscattering technique is used to send the collected audio signal
which simplifies the sending procedure and reduces the required power consumption compared with traditional wireless technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth. The simulation results show that the highest rectification efficiency of the rectifier is 37%
the voltage regulator module generates a voltage of 1.2V
provides working voltage for other modules in tag.The audio processing circuit converts the audio signal into a digital signal
and sends the signal to the base station at a speed of 750kbps through backscattering
and the overall power consumption of the tag is 1.1mW.
