In order to make radio frequency(RFID)tag popular in logistics and reduce the cost of RFID tag
a quadrilateral open resonator chipless RFID tag based on frequency domain is designed. The tag can be printed using a microelectronic printer.A tag with 8-bit data capacity is designed in a small size. The tag consists of two parallel symmetrical antennas
a quadrilateral open resonator and a rectangular dielectric substrate. The quadrilateral open resonator generates a resistor-inductor-capacitor(RLC)resonant circuit.By changing the structure of
L
and
C
the resonant structure can produce different resonant
center frequencies.Three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software high-frequency structure simulator(HFSS)is used to simulate the tag
and two parallel symmetrical antennas are employed for testing. The simulation and test results show that the tag can realize ID coding in the frequency band range of 1~7GHz
and has good sensitivity
reproducibility and linearity. The designed tag features a simple structure and fabrication process
